A public status page your customers can check during an incident

Show the live status and uptime of the monitors you choose, on a page with your logo, colors, and optionally your own domain.

Why a status page helps during an outage

When something breaks, customers want to know two things: is it you or is it them, and are you aware of it. Without a place to look, they open support tickets and refresh your site. Each ticket takes time that you need for the fix.

A status page answers both questions in one place. It shows whether each service is up, how it has performed recently, and what you have said about any open incident. Because it is built from your monitors, it reflects the checks you already run instead of a message someone must remember to update.

How to publish a status page

  1. Choose a template

Start from SaaS, API product, Internal, Minimal, or a blank page. A template only sets defaults, so you can change everything later.

  2. Name it and pick an address

Each page gets a subdomain such as acme.status.uptimeio.com. The subdomain is permanent once created.

  3. Select your monitors

Choose at least one monitor to show. You can give each a public name and a group, and set the order.

  4. Set the branding and publish

Pick a theme, a primary color, and whether to show uptime graphs and response times. Publish when ready, or save a draft.

What you can set

A status page is part of your account, and the Free plan includes one. These options are available:

  • Your logo, colors, and text on every plan
  • Light, dark, or system theme
  • 90-day uptime display for each component
  • Incident history and scheduled maintenance notices
  • RSS and Atom feeds for subscribers
  • Password protection on every plan
  • A setting that lets you hide the page from search engines

Custom domains and branding

On Pro and Scale you can serve the page from your own domain, such as status.yourcompany.com. You add a domain in the dashboard, create the DNS records it lists (usually a CNAME and a TXT record), and verify. UptimeIO provisions the HTTPS certificate.

Scale also removes the UptimeIO branding from the page.

Until you add a custom domain, the page stays at its default address under status.uptimeio.com. If you remove a custom domain later, the page goes back to that address.

Which plans include it

Free includes 1 status page. Pro includes 20 status pages with custom domains, and Scale includes 100 status pages with custom domains and no UptimeIO branding. Logo, colors, and password protection are available on every plan.

A page is either a draft or published, and only published pages are visible to visitors. You can unpublish a page at any time, which is useful while you rework its monitors or branding.

Frequently asked questions

What is a status page?

A status page is a public web page that shows whether your services are up. Visitors see the current status of the monitors you choose, their uptime history, and any incidents, without contacting your support team.

Does UptimeIO have a free status page?

Yes. The Free plan includes 1 status page with your logo, colors, and text. A custom domain needs the Pro or Scale plan.

Can I use my own domain for a status page?

Yes, on Pro and Scale. You can serve the page from a domain such as status.yourcompany.com by creating the DNS records shown in the dashboard. UptimeIO provisions the HTTPS certificate.

How many status pages are included in each plan?

Free includes 1 status page, Pro includes 20, and Scale includes 100. Pro and Scale pages can use custom domains.

Can I change the subdomain after I create a status page?

No. The subdomain, such as acme.status.uptimeio.com, is permanent once the page is created. Choose it carefully, or use your own domain on Pro or Scale.

Can I make a status page private?

Yes. Password-protected pages are available on every plan. You can also hide a page from search engines.
